Ohh so shounen ai is a scanlation term? I didn't know that. But now that I think about it, it makes sense, because doesn't shounen, after all, only mean boy?
But there still are quite innocent boy x boy romances out there, even if some get a yaoi ending.
And, well, most manga tends to be quite formulaic (like especially shoujo or shounen stuff), even if I agree that the homosexual stuff is really, really bad with it, also due to the stereotypes. It's quite a bit offensive, actually, that one guy just essentially takes on the female role. But then again, most shojo is sexist as hell, too.
This manga, hilariously, doesn't match that boy x boy formula, but that's mostly because it targets a whole new target group, and works more as a gag manga. It reminds me a lot of Prunus girl in that regard, as that manga, too, was more about what's her/his gender.
