I wonder if this comic is actually bold enough to give the Snake lady some romance, or if it's going to pussy out of it and only have human x human relations? :pout:
No those extra porn chapters don't count, I don't think they're cannon.
There are porn chapters?!

I get it. Looks like Dara final wish before her soul consumed by the snek is to do final kiss as a goodbye. She was a maiden who grew sheltered, no friend, no romance, no happiness. That's why she was bright red when calling Jurota that night. And they bumped kiss > Jurota lose consciousness.

In the first, I thought Dara covered her face because she was afraid of her monster look. Turn out she was totally embarrassed preparing for final kiss. Jurota 100% a good guy, he didn't scared looking at Dara, but sad and guilt for not noticing her ordeal.

Jurota... thanks a lot for being a great man.

The Tomita family is set.

When you remember that one embracing thing you did... relatable.

As an interesting fact: an average life expectancy of 20 is misleading in that, as mentioned by the manga, there was a lot of infant mortality at the time, hence the very low average. "An average of 20" doesn't mean that a lot of people died at 20; just that many children failing to survive past their early years brings down the curve. In practice, once you'd survived your childhood, you'd live up to 50, if not more... assuming you didn't die of famine or disease or fun stuff like that.
Yeah I think people sorta forget that ancient cultures were clearly structured assuming a lot of adults had living parents.

That said from what I can tell living 50 years would've been like, really really good for a dude like Jurota who lives in the middle of nowhere and does a lot of hard labor. 62 should be a, "damn that guy lived way longer than expected" number.
