Sup guys. So, I was out here losing brain cells scrolling through my feed on X when I stumbled on a post claiming that this manga had sold over 700,000 copies in total. That caught me off guard, 'cause I thought sales had dropped—I haven’t seen it show up on the lists that @Josu_ke posts almost every Friday using ORICON data in a while.

Curious, I decided to check the Shoseki Ranking to see what was going on with the physical sales. Turns out the numbers actually add up. Here's a graph showing the estimated first-month sales for each volume:

*This refers specifically to physical sales only.

So yeah, with the total physical sales across all volumes adding up to nearly 100,000—just counting the first month of sales for each volume—it’s totally reasonable for the combined physical and digital sales to be over 700,000. At this level of success, Takeda Super can milk the series as much as he wants—and write whatever he wants too, because it’s gonna sell either way.

The rewrite turned out to be the smartest business move they could’ve made. All the free publicity it stirred up clearly boosted sales. So yeah, don’t expect this mess to improve anytime soon—Takeda Super basically has full creative freedom now.

Edit: I couldn’t stop wondering why the recent volumes didn’t show up on the lists @Josu_ke posted, so I checked their first-week sales. As it turns out, volumes 4 and 5 didn’t perform that well during their debut—which is surprising, since the first week is typically when a volume sells the most. Here’s a graph showing the first-week sales for each volume:

Thanks for the chapter!
