This just became a humilliation ritual for him. Seems everybody can get their way by having huge egos or being sluts themselves, even boys, as long as they are chads or handsome fuccbois, but someone like Gotou can't even have an ounze of confidence because of being an average looking loser with little to zero control of his libido and emotions. As if he is forced by society to have to bow down his head, humble himself and literally wait for his turn.

Doubt if Takeda is projecting somethimg here, but social commentaries about power hierarchies aren't very common unless he went through some harsh event in his life.

They’re barely friends nevermind lovers, at this point I think they both spent more pages fucking other people than each other, and have otherwise barely interacted for the past 2 dozen chapters or so. In Gotou’s case he’s banged two other girls who are both far superior to main girl, cuckolding a rival fuckboy in the process and will likely be adding a 4th notch to his bedpost next chapter.

Agawa pretty much ghosted him all summer. Agawa wanted Gotou to be a FWB and told him to sleep around due to her sister stealing her previous boyfriends. Gotou only wanted Agawa so he did what she asked. Finally after her sister gets Gotou to be able to pass school and control his libido, Agawa shows back up since nobody had the stamina o made her feel like Gotou when he confessed he liked her, and she complains about how his done the exactly thing she asked. Now Gotou is broken and instead of discussing shit Agawa just goes on her merry way. That's how they drifted apart.

How all the progression can be funneled through Agawa while she also gets no character/relationship development is truly shocking and frustrating. Like for 20 chapters now I would have totally been in favor of the author going left field and having the MC move on from Agawa but that will never happen

The OG manga yes they ended up togeather and its a nice ending now this god only knows, timelines have been reset theres way more girls this is going down a deep dark hole lol
