it always was, let's not fool ourselves. It is inmensely entertaining when the author manages to push the square piece through the star hole sometimes, but this manga has been always ass on all levels.

I get what you're saying but that would lead to the series having a natural conclusion at maybe 120 chapters when a series that is this popular can easily get milked to 400+ chapters if you play your cards right. Why would a mangaka get rid of such a lucrative and stable gig just to have a story that is well written and gives them a good reputation? I hope that Gotou can still improve as the story goes on even if it is just slowly.

I really wonder why Shigechi kissed Gotou lol, even if we disregard her initial perception of Gotou and her personal preference she stated (which is fair since she got to know him a bit more), there is literally zero reason for her to like him at all as everything he has exposed to her has only made her express some form of disgust or shock as he's just been exposing how retarded he is.

Shiina, Akito and Agawa had their own reasons for getting it on with him despite how unapealing he is that made sense: Shiina is a slut (her wanting to cuck Agawa is probably irrelevant now), Akito had a crush on Gotou and Agawa is a slut (and yet even she was turned off by Gotou). Shigechi has none since she isn't even a real slut lol.

I know I'm expecting too much logic from this series but I am a bit baffled by this because Shigechi has turned out to be the best character so far while Gotou is a bottom 3 character right now (along with Inukai and Agawa) so it is a bit disappointing to see her with him imo.

I'm not talking about his apparent arousal seeing Agawa with a girl but him coping that it's okay that she is with a girl instead of a guy. Gotou is obviously not okay with the current situation at all.

Yeah I think this is the reason why Shige is kissing him. To be honest of all the girls that Gotou has been hooking up with I think that Shige is the one with whom he's had the most meaninfull relationship with by far (which its not saying much to be granted) even more than with Agawa, because at the very least they've come to know each other as persons. So I get the sense that Shige has come to think of Gotou as a weird pervert that it's not actually a bad guy. I mean he has seen him put his desires asides for the sake of the girls he cares for, bring friendhsip and joy to other people and ultimatly deciding to step aside from Agawa despit his obvious hurt feelings, she probably expected him to try to but in or something. So I think this is more of a test for herself to see what's really so good about this guy that so many other find happiness around him now that at least she has made sure that he is not a peace of shit

On other note, there's some comment about how used not be complete trash, and I thinks It always kinda was it's just that as another comment said the focues seems to have pivot to Gotou as the main harem protagonist. At least in the beging of the manga the focused seemed to be around Gotou and Agawas relationship and ever since the retcon Agawa has been kinda cast a side in favour of having Gotou as the main harem protagonist thatt hooks up under trashy but somehow entertaining situations. But it feels that it suck more since there are idiots (like me) that actually cared about the relationship between Agawa and Gotou wich is clearly no longer what the author is interested in and uses only as a plot device to further put Gotou in this situations. I still feel it's entertaning thou now hard to find a clear "where are we going" with this manga.
