Like ffs they all know that ghosts love Keitaro and that they are in a LOCATION where a ghost is and the prime GHOST sensing dude is like ???? Must've been the wind

I'm hoping this experience of nearly being whipped out by some weak ghost that was insanely cunning makes them grow as a group and that they take precaution and learn to rely on their gut instincts instead of just PURELY relying on Pokemon Ghosts to save them

She picked the wrong group of people to troll with her tactics. But she wasn't weak at all, just picked the wrong group to fuck with and ended up with a bad match up for a battle.

She is no god, just a really old ghost albeit talented with a moveset producing results like a mini-Tai Sui That said, based on her flashback readers are pegging her as being from either the ancient Yayoi or Kofun Periods, making her at least 1400+ years old and probably the oldest human-based spirit yet in the story. Think of how many victims, energy and practice she's accumulated. Plus, don't know of its origins, but Japanese myths/legends sometimes feature tales where beings and spirits that've lived centuries will ascend up a tier; as far as I know from anime, in both Shaman King and Dark Gathering itself (see end of Ep 9) spirits who've lived for 500 years or so become more powerful. Although in Shaman King these spirits needed to refine and shed much of their earthly attachments, so if the same applies here I'm not sure this D-Temple Ghost is that refined exactly...

Gonna need Kondo to confirm or deny this theory.

yea the whole chapter she had a hard time seeing but these 2 who everyone knows attracts ghosts ignores their gut feeling every single ghost encounter, that's my complaint

already gone into defense mode, they only went into attack when Keitaro got attacked and by then that's starting the fight 1 man down

Ngl tho I know its kinda assholish but I'm surprised they don't use Keitaro as bait for the ghosts since ghosts tend to love him while they attack the ghosts from a safe spot

Also I just realized that while this isn't 100% the first ghost that tackles the soul, Its kinda interesting that they don't have something to protect it yet, like they have that charm back home that has ghosts in it so when they take life sustaining injuries then those charms take the hit instead BUT they don't have anything to protect them when soul dmg plays into effect which is kinda wild ngl

if the ghost doesnt want to be found it wont be, thats not limited to D ghost, they have to make the ghost think they're vulnerable or it just leaves them alone and they waste the trip

they are there hunting it, they either have to keep moving and sniff it out or wait for it to attack

Dude was practically in the BACK of the group the whole fucking time
and when I said to use him as bait I meant have him stay in a VISIBLE spot in FRONT of the group while the group is in a protected spot so they can easily see if the ghost grabs him
