The last panel of the previous page seems doesn't connect well with the first two panels of the last page and the next two panels.
if those first two panels on the last page were removed, it would be easier to understand.

i think it implies that the fight took a while since the enemy was probably high in hp but that they weren't anything too difficult to fight. in other words a long battle with enough leeway for the support duo to have a quickie before the battle finished.
