I think they have fiendish heritage, it is part of why they face discriminations. Now, where are the not-AasimarIt's a race of demi-humans. They suffer a lot of discrimination because they think they're demons in humanoid form but that's not the case. Think of them as D&D tieflings, but without the actual demonic heritage.
