I was hyped going into reading this because of the amount of praise it gets, instantly let down. THE worst thing I have ever read, whenever there's nothing going on or poorly written plot happening they throw in a shot of someone's ass or boobs to try and make us forget how shit this is

(The manga adapts the anime by the way) I read like first 20 chapters of manga before it diverges from the anime then watched all the anime, then came back around and read all the manga. The Anime is a league above the manga imo, characters feel way more bland in the manga, the manga dumbed down so many situations creating less annoying situations but the characters being annoying is very much what was making them human which was actually a huge point in the anime. So many complex situations on an anime striving off of characters getting removed in the manga is disappointing + the fact the manga removes alot of character interaction and is overall way faster paced in the first place isn't hit. YOU HAVE TO WATCH THE ANIME TO ACTUALLY UNDERSTAND THE CHARACTERS.

Anime gives you a love hate relationship with all the characters while the manga removes the hate aspect of them entirely removing alot of your connection to the characters so Love-hate to "Don't care" relationship to the characters.
The big thing the manga tried to be different on is "The plot holes" which the manga didn't do much better, they honestly did it worse and foreshadowed content that'll never happen. But they completely removed the rebuilding which was one of the best part of the animes. People say they hate the ending but a lot of is just a hate train and is 1 moment of the ending they're talking about, everything else about the ending was pretty Amazing. Manga felt like it should've been 20 more chapters but cut short.

Half the story being majorly focused on the Beast and the prince book in the anime was also such a good dynamic which they removed from the story just about and it was really only talked about twice. In the anime the 2nd half of the show grew such a good dynamic with the book making the entire story a huge reference to the book. Anime is very inspirational with every aspect of life and goes through extreme means like Gurren lagann to teach you that even if alot of it doesnt make 100% sense or is "too extreme" manga also removed ALL of that. Just off of everything there's nearly no reason to read the manga over the anime, Anime does everything 10x better. Only thing Manga has over anime is Fan service which can take away from serious situations but if the fan service is good or bad really depends on the person. Watch the anime, Manga adaptations usually aren't very good in the first place.
