Mirei is such a pushover!

This ending left me wondering about Soprano's true feelings. Is it real love or just revenge?
It feels more like lust/obssession. Soprano wants to be with Mirei, however, she knows currently Mirei doesn't feel that way about her. She also realised that Mirei will let her act out. So she's taking advantage of Mirei in order to satisfy herself. If Mirei breaks then it is even better as it means Mirei will finally "love" her.

LET'S GOOOOOOOOO!!! Emi-chan, fuck her up! :win:
I believe in you, tell her to fuck off and protect Mirei from that sicko! :win:

I really hope this manga won't go the usual trope and Mirei will end up with Emi-chan, while Soprano gets left in the dust :wooow:

"I am gonna break if you go any further."
"What's wrong with that? That's what I am counting on it."

And this is all just over a kiss on the cheek.
Peak yuri content indeed, cannot wait for the intense lex scene. :meguusmug:

This is really difficult to understand. Mirei has mostly been acting like she's gay panicking every time Soprano is near, but then this scene with her skin being itchy from a cheek kiss feels like an extremely negative overreaction. Like, I don't know what I'm supposed to feel at this point about their relationship.

While むずがゆい can mean "itchy", it can also mean "tingly" and is often used to describe the awkwardness of someone being overtly affectionate. So, there is no inherently negative connotation to it.

That's good to know, so it might just be a translation issue?

even if it was "itchy" itchy isn't inherently negative

I think it started out as love, or at least a strong crush, the problem was how Mirei responded. If she’d just rejected Soprano, that could have still spelled the end of the relationship, but she might have been able to accept it and move on. But Mirei wanted to pretend the confession never happened and sweep it under the rug. Rejection is one thing, having your feelings ignored and trampled on is just cruel. It’s no wonder Soprano’s feelings evolved into something twisted, part of her wanting to finally be acknowledged, while another wanting to punish Mirei for the pain she caused.

With Mirei, it seems to be more than just unrequited feelings, her extreme reactions might be the result of some internalised homophobia. Whatever the cause of it was, it makes any kind of relationship with Soprano impossible until it can be addressed.
