@duylinh You make some good points but with the magic they have, they should be able to create short-term preservation items like a cooler. It's unlikely they would be able to preserve raw foods for more than a couple of days so it's likely they usually sell salted or smoked meats more often than just fresh meat, unless they hunted it that day. Without magic it's unlikely that farmers would be able to sell their crops unless they lived a short distance from a city or market, and not everyone can use magic for preservation so fresh produce is probably more expensive. The only time that they seem to have large quantities of meat is when a wyvern or similarly large monster is killed, and that only seems to last 2 or 3 days. All this food talk is making me hungry so, I'm gonna grab lunch.

Really it comes down to how much similarites the Isekai world have with our own.....
Some Isekai have totally new fruits and grains that is described by the main character as mixs of diffrent fruits and/or veggies because he himself lack the means to describe them otherwise.
Also slective breeding the best crops and animals to genetically modify them have been a thing for thousands of years, and while nowhere near as effective as today it have been effective in a lot of things and don't really need much technology to do properly.
Some examples of crops can be found to have been selectively bread as far back as 8000 BC so its not that strange to find crops with similar fetures as we have.
Potatoes, carrots and corn being prime examples of old stuff being selectively breed.
And a lot of the problems can be fixed with magic and is usually the excuse for Isekai worlds being less advanced in the first place.
That said sellective breeding have not allways turned out well.
A good example of breeding gone wrong is the giant mess that is the bulldog.
They used to be able to kill bulls ( altho usually with something preventing the bull from just running way, look up bull baiting if you want to learn more )
Now they are a sloppy mess of skin and bone problems that can´t even give birth without killing themselves unless given surgical help to do so.
Overall it adds to the imersion if there are familiar things in the fantasy world to relate too.
But yeah, most of the time its just because people are lazy and don't want to reinvent the wheel with new crops and stuff.
As for meat, dried/salted/smoked meat can be preserved for a long time and is super old and super basic level of tech.
Fresh stuff on the other hand have allways been hard to come by unless its grown in the area or you are super rich like the nobles usually are.
I actually know a few Isekai manga´s that do adress this tho..... here is a example of one. ( this one deals with fresh fish being rare in a land locked city )

she is just superstitious and bad at holding back her opinions.
There is a somewhat logical reasons for her believing what she does tho.
As for the black hair girl, everybody just thinks that she is ugly.
it's a common fashion sense that don´t make sense to us, but it does to everybody else.
Its just a mather of taste.... Tsuki ga Michibiku Isekai Douchuu is another example of a Isekai world where the common people have a very extreme and different sense of beauty then we do.

Because the goddess who rules the world is a giant cunt who discriminates against "ugly" people and more or less forced it to be that way with her godly powers.

I still find the premise of lulu being considered ugly because of her oriental features odd. Normally if people aren't used to another race they find them weird or exotic, at worst just not appealing, unless there's some really big difference. And this is a fantasy world with actual other races so...

What isn't well known is that due to using the wounded as test subjects for the MC's experimental potions various (and hilarious) side effects started occuring 2-3 weeks after taking the potions. The lightly wounded only had their skin color turn green, purple, blue, yellow, red, black and white. Medium wounds added on animalistic behavior such as chasing carriages, barking at the moon, lounging in the sun purring, extreme cravings for cream or bones or mice. The Seriously wounded had all the previous plus fur growing on bodies, dog/cat/lizard tails growing out, and bringing back prey hunted with their bare hands and carried by their teeth with occasional offerings to the Baron. As for the mostly dead or soon to part this Earth patients, they broke into sneezing fits around fur or feathers with no other side effects.
Also, what wasn't publicized were several duels by consuming either large quantities of alcohol quickly or drinking the heavy stuff and building the shot glasses into a tower or (attempted to) sing songs with the winner getting the MC. The salon women started chastising the men until someone made a suggestion causing them to join in with the winner marrying the MC. However, due to all the alcohol not only was the winner forgotten but what they were dueling for. (PS Sera won for the women with Satou standing over the guys.)
All the previous has been striped from the record by the involved parties with a blood oath on penalty of a fate worse than death if ever mentioned again.
