@zafalpai
the name should be Garohal based on Official spell name LN
@Heike
@zafalpai Sorry, I don't agree. The katakana used was ガルハル [Garuharu] instead of ガロハル [Garoharu]. If anything, the actual name should be something like Galhal now that I take a better look at it. I'm gonna keep it as it is now if it's similar to the LN as you say, so people who come from there don't get too confused.
The official LN, and subsequently the official Manga and Anime dubs...get
a lot just
flat out wrong. Aside from multiple horrendous mistranslations (sometimes changing terminology entirely ignoring the source material) throughout their entire localization (when compared to the kanji and katakana), they also screw up names very often. For example, Sera is "Sara" in the official English LN...implying it's pronounced "sah-ra" like Sahara. I'd rather they go full western and just add an extra h at the end to make it Sarah, then it would make a lot more sense and sound better. That's just the
tip of the iceberg of my grievances with the official translations of this series...and it's one of the main reasons why I myself became a scanlator in the first place long ago. The way I see it, whenever people fuss about "this is the way
they do it, so you should too", my rebuttal is to be as pedantic as possible, as you may as well do it right, because that's the Grammar Nazi side of me. And I know I'm not the only one that has these opinions.
And besides...it's actually against magnadex rules to use official translations as a source, as it'd be English to English, rather than another language to English:
2.3.1 Using the translated script of an official release as the basis of a scanlation is allowed only if the script has been re-translated into a different language.
So it's best to just ignore the official translations (it sucks balls anyway) and translate from the original Japanese raws.
