Usually a perverted protagonist has to have some redeeming features. Issei in Highschool DxD or the Main guy in so I can't play H. They're perverts but at the endy of the day they have good hearts and want to protect the people they care about.

Karasuma does not strike me as that.

The author seems to express Furuya having far too much "reluctance" in using his abilities. Karasuma has no such filters, so we get to see her powers all the more.

I get a personal notion that these most recent chapters feel drawn out because the MC has been shown to only possess one one-shot kill technique; so he has to be seen not being able to use it for as much as possible.

The investigation part of the arc was enjoyable, but the end conclusion is only allowed to happen in one way, and it's really dragging its feet getting there.

Yeah, it certainly took the MC long enough to suddenly remember he was supposed to be the sole attacker in this plan, whereas all the others were there to make his attack more likely to succeed. Instead he was just standing idly, having a smoke (figuratively speaking), while the others were struggling and finally losing control.
