So now Kurokawa is going down the yandere hole... BUT GDI KUROKAWA YOU WANT MORE THAN THAT, YOU WANT HER FOR YOURSELF AND TO HOLD HER HAND LIKE THE DEGENERATE YOU ARE
But seriously you two, talk please and I mean more openly than this and then date
I got kinda mad with Kanade... the way she didn't want only Nanaki to call her by name was kinda cold... I feel really bad for Nanaki, she is really trying hard, but Kanade always seeing the two of them as different really gets in the way
why do i get second hand embarrassment when i watched the 'omg you didn't call let me call you by your first name? tsk tsk tsk, you shouldve known better, i hate you and i will dryly answer you' all crumble down
Japanese culture's obsession with names and honorifics sure is a never-ending source for conflict and angst in Japanese fiction, yet it all seems so trivial and incomprehensible in the eyes of Westerners.
I wonder if there is anything in Western culture that plays the same role in our fiction that Japanese readers are equally puzzled and bemused by?
Incomprehensible is kinda overkill no? Its just a reflection of how close the two speakers are. When you're hanging out with your friends, you probably speak with more profanity than you do when you're talking to a stranger or a coworker. Japanese doesn't really use profanity in the same way English does
