I'm glad the author resolved the Izumi plotline, and I did sympathize with her in this chapter. I would have sympathized more if the author hadn't made Izumi so manipulative the last few chapters, or if the author didn't make the rejection scene so melodramatic, but whatever. Hopefully this rejection leads to a kinder, more open Izumi.
I doubt it will happen for a while, but moving forward I think pairing Izumi with Iro might be fun. The author hinted at Iro being attracted to Izumi in chapter 18.5, and I think it would be a good opportunity for Izumi to build a more honest/healthy relationship. I also think it could make for an interesting contrast to Nanaki/Kanade. The author reverted the apparent self awareness Nanaki was developing, so I expect the next dozen chapters to be more denial and "What is this feeling??" silliness. I'd love it if after we give Izumi a few chapters to recover, she notices Iro's interest and asks her out immediately. It'd be a hilarious contrast to Nanaki/Kanade's absurd slowness.
