@DevilBro559 beside husband, 旦那 (danna) can be translated as master or my lord, and context wise i think its more make sense, since its monkey king and his right hand man(key)

edit: the empty bubble at page 30 here can be filled with wha-?! or wh-?!, since the bubble originally contain なっ, which usually used to express interrupted nani

Maybe as “chosen for the cloth”, as that would be the English way to say that someone was chosen for service in a Christian church?
