Damn, that's unfortunate. Was thinking of checking out a seasonal anime for the first time in 7 years. Not that I had particularly high hopes for an isekai adaptation of all things to begin with, but if they're butchering characters then it's probably not worth checking out.
No, the story is the same, but the character designs are way different I got whiplash. Like the manga is out first but they insist on making even more moe design they circle back to generic, their biggest offence is the saints sisters. Haven't checked the second season, but doesn't matter because my policy is to wait for batch releases😗
The character design in the anime is based on light novel, manga and LN has different design

Actually, the translation was done quite a while back. The academic stuff made me hold off doing the chapter for quite a while (or at least progress very slowly)Oh you can't do this to me, you know how long have I waited for your release?

Yes, all the raw sites had the chapter order messed up.
In my defence, I did check the other raw sites whether the chapter was correct, and saw the same order of chapters (though I did neglect to check the official raw page)
I think it is more or less lacking for better words or insight on MCs part (he is after all just a normal salaryman before being a demon lord) . But if you do manage a town, non-violent stuff is better kept under watch where the government can watch them. Our MC is mostly BSing his way, he isn't omnipotent like they all claim. He cannot see everything immediately unlike his creations but that is why he left most of the dirty job on them.
