This might be a bit of a shock to autists that can't understand social interactions, but not hanging out with one person so you can hang out with someone else is a very common occurrence. Now, if it happens consistently where they are choosing to always hang out with that other person, at that point you can re-evaluate your friendship. But relating it back to this manga, we only know of it happening this one time. It's certainly not at the levels to cause the treatment she is giving him. It's not that he "blew her off", it's that he confessed to someone else and she got jealous. Your comment of "behind her back" is also confusing. Did you expect him to bring her with him to the confession? Do you think friendship is doing anything and everything together? Is me taking a shit without telling my friend considered taking a shit behind his back?

Hell, recently I'm having a friend that is choosing to spend time with his girlfriend. Does that give me credence to treat that person like shit?

The art is poor, the narrative pacing disjointed and all over the place. Events don't so much flow as jerk from one panel to the next. And the dialogue is so awkward as to make no sense at times.

Still better than 98% of isekais.

Also, from the flashback, Iori told Hyouka that he was going to confess beforehand, so it isn't like he kept romantic interest a secret either. Iori was above board.

Hyouka's mad at Iori because he went ahead with the confession against her self-serving advice to not confess.

The initial pitch of the plain looking childhood girlfriend getting a glow up is OK but everything else seems ill conceived, especially turning this into what I think is meant to be a harem? And the dialogue is, well, god awful. Reminds me a little bit of "The Dreaming Boy is a Realist".
