fave weapon in a vidya game? blades of mercy from bloodborne, the magic archer bow from dragons dogma 1, the transistor from transistor, the wrench from ratchet and clank, chiron coronacht from hades 1 are my top 5 probably. weaving in and out of range and narrowly dodging attacks using blades of mercy dash while doing quick stabs and just keeping up insane constant pressure feels better than sex

I still encounter moments of getting pulled out immersion since Crim basically has a mix of Kirito (SAO) and Shinji (Evangelion) with a side of gender-bend.
At least he's self-aware, not quite arrogant, and pathetically relatable at times.
Edit: Added context for the characters I named.

Favorite weapons I've used in a video game? It's a toss up between the tonfa, odachi, and fist/claws weapon classes from Nioh 2. They're just so satisfying to use, between the tonfa's machine gun pace attacks, the fist/claws' endless combos, and the odachi's stance dancing.

Most other games I've played that have multiple weapons/weapon types just don't do enough to really delineate them; in Souls/Elden Ring, when you get down to it, there's not a whole lot of difference between a straight sword and a katana or a greatsword and a great hammer besides swing speed. They might have a different ability, but nothing that really sets them apart from the pack.

In Nioh, though, each weapon class has three different movesets (high, mid, and low stance) and you can give each one your own personal tweak from the weapon skills. Like, odachi, you can give each stance a unique combo finisher like every other weapon class... Or you can make it so that using a heavy attack after a light attack switches you to a different stance and using a light attack after a heavy attack switches you again and just keep dancing between all three stances.

Tonfas have a built in dodge that transitions into a rapid flurry of attacks that is unparalleled at applying status effects. Slap on a heavy set of armor and you can face tank basically anything in the game while dealing damage.

Fists/Claws are hyper aggressive and can endlessly chain combos and finishers and have some of the coolest attacks; like a literal One Punch or an ability while downed that launches you to your feet with a spin kick that also doubles as a parry, knocking smaller foes to the ground.

Thanks for the update.
Just wondering when the plotline from chapter 5 will continue, like what is it with the vampire thing???

SAO: Progressive has a refreshingly dorky version of Kirito that's much more entertaining than the original version of him

I'm gonna say the needler from halo - individually a shard isn't dangerous but get tagged by several and you explode into purple dust
