Favorite weapons I've used in a video game? It's a toss up between the tonfa, odachi, and fist/claws weapon classes from Nioh 2. They're just so satisfying to use, between the tonfa's machine gun pace attacks, the fist/claws' endless combos, and the odachi's stance dancing.
Most other games I've played that have multiple weapons/weapon types just don't do enough to really delineate them; in Souls/Elden Ring, when you get down to it, there's not a whole lot of difference between a straight sword and a katana or a greatsword and a great hammer besides swing speed. They might have a different ability, but nothing that really sets them apart from the pack.
In Nioh, though, each weapon class has three different movesets (high, mid, and low stance) and you can give each one your own personal tweak from the weapon skills. Like, odachi, you can give each stance a unique combo finisher like every other weapon class... Or you can make it so that using a heavy attack after a light attack switches you to a different stance and using a light attack after a heavy attack switches you again and just keep dancing between all three stances.
Tonfas have a built in dodge that transitions into a rapid flurry of attacks that is unparalleled at applying status effects. Slap on a heavy set of armor and you can face tank basically anything in the game while dealing damage.
Fists/Claws are hyper aggressive and can endlessly chain combos and finishers and have some of the coolest attacks; like a literal One Punch or an ability while downed that launches you to your feet with a spin kick that also doubles as a parry, knocking smaller foes to the ground.
