IIRC back in Chapter 1 it said he'd "consented subconsciously". Which is obvious horseshit but that's what the author's going to go with, undoubtedly. I agree that he's going to look just like his avatar when he gets out.

Well in the novel that guy is a girl the whole time but for some reason she pretend to be a boy it happens bc of a major childhood trauma.
