Just curious about something. Do you guys like to see non-Japanese as main characters along with the Japanese one(s)?

Of course, it's nothing new, we see gaijin characters all the time. But they are usually supporting characters or only play an important role in one arc, then take a backseat. The plot doesn't follow them.

I mean, let's say for example, a Japanese protag and another sidekick who isn't Japanese, maybe Korean or Chinese or whatever, and the story revolves around them, or advances based on what they do. Terra ForMars and Detective Conan come to my mind. Is this common in the manga that you've read? I often see this in romance or isekai manga (well, technically the non-main characters are not even from the same world). Maybe it's more common than I remember, but my memory isn't very good, lol.

So, do you mind seeing a gaijin MC? Or do you prefer Japanese MCs?

If you can choose, which country would you like to see an MC comes from?

A lot of the time caucasian and asian characters seem to be drawn the same. So visually there'd be no differences, unless they're from places like Mexico, Africa, or India.

But, yeah, I don't really see a problem with a non-Japanese MC.

Araki been making non-japanese MCs since the '80s and the most popular part barely have a Japanese character, so its all fine.

I love seeing Americans in manga 😂
It's usually an incredibly stiff caricature of whoever's currently president

When talking about "manga", I prefer Japanese MCs. Its a stereotype hard to grow out of. But if we're talking about webtoon-formats, then aby country is fine. Like in Webtoons, they have a lot webtoons that have MCs not always Japanese, Korean or Chines.

As long as its not intending to be historically accurate, sure, But if its based on something like feudal japan or 15th-century Poland, I wouldn't be much of a fan of let's say a troupe of Indians or Mexicans with An94s hanging about in it.
