But also that quote's from a wider context of "how best to punish the mom and uncle". If a high schooler bullies someone so much that the other person kills themself, should we kill the bully as punishment? Hurting someone so badly that they end up killing themself is more manslaughter than murder. They're both awful and they both deserve punishment, but one requires intent to kill, which imo the mom and uncle didn't have
