Ugh, this chapter hits too close to home. As a single-by-choice man in his 30s, I have gradually lost almost all of my close friends to marriage and parenthood. I still keep in touch with them, obviously, but they no longer ever seem to be able to make the time to hang out, even just to go grab dinner or spend a few hours gaming on a Saturday night.

Ugh, I can relate to Zilk. I love the freedom of doing whatever I want, but it sucks when I want to hang out with friends and they're busy doing "Couple Hobbies" or "Travel Dates" etc. and next thing you know you haven't seen them in person in months.

unrelated: I know this is supposed to be a comedy, but having so many people intruding into Zilk's life is ruining the all alone vibe even though I know it's to keep the story moving and fresh. Also very confused why he isn't a weakling whn in his workshop or elsewhere around "companions" like when he's drinking in the bar in this chapter.
