Here’s a tip-Scanlating is about more than just translating, it’s about presenting the text in a way people will understand. So don’t just copy and paste google translate, typeset what makes the most sense. The most common mistake that new scanlators make by far is putting less effort into the translations and just using google or bing for everything-No! You have to write what’s grammatically correct and what makes sense.

Anyways, here are some translations tools I recommend.

https://www.purpleculture.net/chinese-english-dictionary

https://www.bing.com/translator/?form=CONMDF&pc=COSPM01&ptag=A162BC08914

https://translate.yandex.com/?lang=zh-en

https://translate.systran.net/translationTools/text

https://fanyi.baidu.com/?from=1020411b#zh/en

m.youdao.com/translate?vendor=fanyi.web

Keep in mind that some of these translators are used in China, so you might need to translate the whole page to know how to use it and where the buttons that say “translate” are.

Most of the time, google translate should give you an accurate translation but for the 60% of occurrences when it doesn’t, use these translators to figure out what it means. And if you’re really stuck, use a Chinese language dictionary. Because sometimes, there are words That none of the translators pick up because they are slang terms, however, they are usually listed in the dictionary.

Good job so far for your first translation. I highly recommend using the anime ace font instead.

ngl it was hard to read.
Usually that happens when expressions are taken too literally. Chinese has a lot of idioms but machines such as google tend to have a literal translation rather than the figurative one. It also tends to pick mismatched definitions that doesn't suit the circumstances.
Which is why MTL chinese is often so hard to understand. You can't just rely on a direct translation and hope it makes sense, it's not that smart yet, not to mention google is really horrible at knowing english syntax and grammar.

Hence you also need a good grasp of english grammar and expressions:
For example: "is it okay to let Brother Tiger alive" sounds weird. "Let someone alive" doesn't really work in English. That's because alive is an adjective. That's like saying "let someone dead". You need a verb. Hence "Let someone live" (live= verb version of alive), or even "leave someone alive" are expressions that make more sense.
So "Is it okay to let Brother Tiger live?" or "Is it okay to leave Brother tiger alive?" would be better choices.

Imma recommend this:

Good way to find out definitions for single words and of expressions. They give a translation for idioms too, and I find it to be much quicker than looking everything up one by one thru the dictionary.

Still not loading for whatever reason. Don't know what's up with it though.
Though it seems like others can see it
