Aw. I love this, I know on some level Mama-San is truly thankful to Fuyuki for helping bridge the gap that occured with her and her son. Trusting her then and then learning more about her and how much her son and her love eachother is so sweet. You can see how much she treasures her when at first she was so apprehensive. Gonna be a broken record here but I'm glad the mother mellowed out and became faar more likeable than when she was introduced. Really didn't like her character then and had she stayed how she was for longer I think I would've ended up skipping chapters she was in

I'd be super surprised if she does. All she did "for" him during his formative years was ignore him (if he was lucky) and sabotage him (if he wasn't). There aren't any silly or heartwarming memories between them that date from more than a handful of months ago.

one of the things i like about this manga is how it solved -save for some cringey moments- all the issue around the mother being a tyrant, other manga would've made her stay some kind of shitty villain or invented some unnecessary forced drama(well the whole mother arc was imho forced drama that would only work in a meek oppressive society like japan)
