Also, checked his fanbox, the NSFW he promised is actually vanilla. Her and Doujima doing lovey dovey stuff and one prior where she has his jacket and...

A job that payed came around, he took the money, gritted his teeth and made it, but he's still making the CANON wholesome chapters in pixiv as linked above and also not linked above (wish I could find translations, I'm using my phone and google translate).
The doujin fucking sucks, and it shouldn't exist. That is something we all agree on. But we shouldn't be blaming the artist who needed revenue considering his main source dried up. Blame the guy who commissioned the damn thing.

Though yes, him posting it in the same fanbox with vanilla stuff was a dumb move. It was a mistake, and thankfully it looks like he's not going to repeat it.

I'm going to discuss this further, as I do love this story, and I want to defend the story which I like. The existence of the doujin is horrible, but this doesn't mean the author is a bad person for making it. Honouring the dynamics of your characters is important, but it doesn't pay for food or rent.
And thankfully of course, he didn't actually betray the main story he built as it is NOT CANON TO THE MANGA. It was a commision for a single person who specifically asked for the scenario in question and Panyakawa needed the money.

This wasn't a middle finger to the actual fans of the series, this was someone commissioning the damn doujin and him taking the job.

I HATE the very existence of the doujin as I love the romance in this manga, just binge read it today. If it was canon, it would indeed be something that is FUCKING ATROCIOUS to have in the story.

But to soften the blow, it is non canon. It was made as something for one person who wanted it to be made. The plot, the scenario, everything is due to the person paying him to make it.

You can hate the author for making it, and I see a lot of people now do. But I at least know that it isn't meant as something malicious towards the fans or something that ruins the original story. This is essentially just like any other doujin, albeit made by the person who made the series. The original story is still going on via the time skip where they are married with a daughter.

Enjoy the real story and dump on the commision. Just because it was made doesn't mean it's meant to be part of the actual story.

I know a couple series where a sequel ended up destroying the franchise which is what people here seem to actually be feeling. But this isn't as bad as Sly Cooper 4 completely destroying the franchise or the Cloverfield franchise having continuity which flip flops thanks to the writers not agreeing on the lore. This is a seperate product and is disconnected from the main story.

Bringing up an even more controversial magaka who has made NSFW even more horrendous, let's bring up Nanashi. The doujin for Doujima has as much weight as the Nagatoro prototype doujin has on the actual Nagatoro manga (which I read to completion and actually love). In the doujin, Nagatoro isn't just teasing Hachioji, but is PHYSICALLY VIOLENT to him and actually does try to break his heart with the notion of NTR (it was her brother who she had play a part in the prank). By all counts, it actually has more weight on Ijiranaide Nagatoro-san as it is what eventually became the main manga.

But the doujin doesn't ruin the main story as the scenarios aren't brought up in the main manga and the dynamics are clearly different. Neither do the NUMEROUS NSFW DOUJINS that Nanashi made prior to Nagatoro. And while they were made prior, the stuff made there make the Doujima NTR doujin look like vanilla (I mean seriously, dear god.).

We can love the story and this isn't a story which has been ruined by a canon piece of material. This is a cute story which unfortunately was ended prematurely and had a lot of potential, but thankfully the story is continued via Panyakawa's pixiv, which do feature scenarios before the marriage and are just as wholesome as the original manga.

Let's put the pitchforks down... And rightfully blame the person actually responsible for commissioning the bloody thing.
