They departed because the kid was being an asshole, ignoring his mission, his fiancé and being an overall nuisance to everyone. Now that he got some sense slapped onto him, what else is there to do other than show how strong the parents are, which we already know they are the strongest things in this story?

So i was looking at the raws because volume 3 latest is 15, and the latest published is 15 which was published when vol.3 came out, i went to check the publisher mobile app and serie is in the "completed" tab along the serie page saying that is completed, so with the way chapter 15 ended, i guess this got straight up axed

Though expected given that the WN haven't had an update in a good while and the LN doesn't got that much further ahead with Volume 2

Training montage for the hero's party i guess? Being this OP the mom and dad could straight up let the kid and his party try fights and battles as many times as they want cause these two can just swoop in and recover them before they lost the fight being a pseudo respawn/retry

Well, about now is the point where the story has to throw a real curveball, and depower the parents or take them out of the picture, so the hero can go through his redemption arc. Watching these two effortlessly clown all over everyone while the peanut gallery gushes about yet another seemingly impossible feat is starting to wear a little thin.

Honestly, my money is on the story going the direction of "rabbit girl gets on her knees and bows her head and asks to keep being trained by then, and maybe becomes adopted daughter?" And it might just be a training arc next, comparing the training of bunny girl and hero side by side.

Alternatively, there could be a stipulation where it specifically has to be the "Hero" who slays the demon king, or else he immediately revives or something.
That way, the parents can treat the other heavenly kings as training dummies for their son.
Just an idea

It's just like @Volttekka said. He tried, "ordinary physical and magical attack don't work on him" on top of "his regeneration is monstrous", managed to killed him once but he just revived again.
This should be explained in the next chapter.

I kinda want to see the son have to face the villages that he destroyed and such. Kinda glossed over the fact that he ruined a bunch of people's lives. Maybe it's still coming, but feels like it should come before the demon king killing arc.
Still enjoying seeing these comically overpowered parents just doing whatever whatever.

After light talk in the next chapter they will separated from son and headed into Venice version of this world. That they will skip almost entirely as well, so say no for Dad visiting brothel here (along, without Mom ).
They skiped all of hero's punishment, much needed talk with fiance, and all apology trip hero was going after, along with new party formation.
And yes The Dad's entire backstory with apprentices.
