I… I just don’t see how the male lead could be in any way forgivable. For all he did, breaking two women’s hearts and bringing them clawing at one another’s throats all because his ego didn’t allow him to even talk to the mc. And not only that, everything that mc blames herself for, building walls between them and not trusting him is purely a trauma response from a guy toying with her heart to the point of suicide. That guy is morally reprehensible and I cannot see how the mc can forgive him- maybe that’s just one of the illogical things that comes with love- but I know I wouldn’t. I hate that man with a passion and I can’t bear to watch him blame others for everything that lies with himself. Of course, others around them are also at fault for never confronting either of them: the maid said that they were always looking at each other since they were children, yet noone seemed to make her aware of this when manwhore was going being unfaithful; the sleazebag’s brother talks about how he just could never show his feelings due to him being a prince (yet he could to the homewrecker?) and yet didn’t call the prince out on his bs pride shit; and especially the dad who makes it out to be the overprotective father yet only warned that fucking bastard with a single glare- your daughter is crying her heart out over this guy and you merely send him a mean look? I’d fucking murder him. And that’s also a flaw in the character writing cause the only plausable reason he wouldn’t do such is due to his social status as a crown prince, yet he didn’t care of that at all when asking the prince to make an oath.
Overall, the story revolves around how easily you forgive the most retched scumbag and also rides on all of the surrounding characters being incompetent and/or ignorant to the relationship until the mc tries to kill herself. I’m dropping tbh
