Genuinely curious as to how the phrase "hail mary" is Americanizing the manga. It's an English translation, do you expect them to just, not use English phrases that have been in the language for a century? It's not like it's inserting internet lingo or zoomer humor into the translation."one last hail mary for the summer" I'm sorry, but i can't read this anymore. This translation is utter garbage. I rather read 480p raws than this, which i will start to do. You lose all feeling as to how characters would sound like in japanese. This isn't some american comic, translate properly. Had to drop the scanlation of Otome Teikoku because there seemed to be some internal changes and some doofus decided to be a professional zoomer localizer. Too bad about this one though, but what to expect from the group that spoiled a whole chapter just for their April Fools.
a lot of the times i see japanese phrases get changed to english ones because people won't understand because they don't know the cultural context or it just don't make sense in english so i don't see much of a problem"one last hail mary for the summer" I'm sorry, but i can't read this anymore. Yeah that's what I was thinking. Especially in this situation, directly translating the Japanese phrase then leaving a t/n for the meaning is just clunky and bad to read. I feel like cuetie scans has done a great job in all the scanlations I've read from them so this complaint just feels extremely exaggerated.a lot of the times i see japanese phrases get changed to english ones because people won't understand because they don't know the cultural context or it just don't make sense in english so i don't see much of a problem

She gets nervous in big crowds, that’s why she was gesturing to her hold her handWhat is the deal with Yuzu's sad little face on page 8?
Also, I thought Minami's and Nitori's little bonding time was a nice change.
I usually just remember characters by their hairstyle and some character traits lolAm I the only one who has trouble figuring out who’s who in this? Apart from the art style making a couple of characters look very similar, I’m sure I’m also mixing them up with another very similar yuri manga that I’ve forgotten about…
