@owyn turn undead is not "turn into undead" but "turn away undead" it's a classic cleric thing from d&d, it's basically a banishment spell that only work on undead (and demons if you improve it IIRC)

i dont get the issue with visualizing magic in a world where magic actually exists, you could just show them someone actually doing it. and if that doesnt work, then theres no reason why her seeing it in games would help her visualize it either
