Downloading chapters for 'offline' or similar reading?

I'm wondering if there is a way to download individual chapters for later reading- maybe as an archive or the like. I was hoping there was someway here to do something along those lines. I usually wouldn't but I currently have an extremely slow connection. I've tried looking around/searching etc. but I didnt see anything here yet.
As of now, I open a chapter, and then let it preload through the advanced settings- but this takes a while for one thing- anywhere from 25-30 mins for short chaps, and up to an hour or more for longer or color chaps and the like. And often after loading that first one I try to start another so I can try to have at least 2-5 chaps loaded so I can read a bit without having to wait so long for each page and then let the next chap load after finishing another although this still has numerous problems. When doing this there have been numerous issues- earlier pages may need to be reloaded or even -losing the who chapter and needing to start over again. I know my spotty connection can be an issue as while downloading I may lose the connection which can often lead to needing to start over completely.

I know there are often ways if you use things like irc/discord but my connection is so slow these haven't worked much for me. Thought someone here might have an idea of maybe there is something simple I've missed or could try within one of these.
Oh and info on my setup- currently I only have access to an android phone. I have tried a couple of app but not much luck there yet either. I used to use Mangarock but my connection generally leads to a chapter saying its completed downloading only to find a ton of missing pages, etc. Not to mention trying different apps often requires me to try and find a open public connection long enough to install an app to try, but this takes quite a bit where I am- which I would be fine with but medical conditions for myself and my disabled mother make this a bit of a hassle. Enough that I had quit reading for a quite a while before getting more into this fabulous site.

Anyway, thanks for your time, I just thought this would be the best place to get some useful input on this type of thing. If I should have asked this elsewhere, I am sorry, I thought the manga forum section made the most sense.

There was a Polite Mangadex Downloader shared here a while ago ( https://mangadex.org/thread/8639/polite-mangadex-downloader-try-it-out ), but I think it only works for Windows.

Personally, I think it would be cool if there were a chapter download functionality for Mangadex, even if it's really rate-limited (for comparison, Dynasty Reader limits users to 8 chapter downloads per day), because I wouldn't really need to use it that often; I'd only really want to use it for really good chapters that I want to save for safekeeping.

@Otakuman706 When I'm on my phone, I use chrome to open the site, long press on a chapter (not the manga) and see a bunch of options. If you're using the latest version of chrome, you should be able to see an option to download.

Go to the top right to see the three dots stacked vertically on top of each other and see more options. There should be one that says "downloads" where you can see everything you downloaded from the chrome app. Just scroll down to see your downloaded chapter and open it up.

This worked for me, not sure if it works for you but I hope it helps.

Thanks for the input to both of you. I didnt even think of saving the page through chrome like that- Ibe done so in the past for other (nonmanga) stuff. It could be hit or miss depending on how the site was designed and I never thought to try it here.

And I would also be fine with a limited way or something, even if I could dl like 4-6 ahead of time that should give me enough reading time to load the following chapters as I read those already dled. Its kinda what I try to do now but like half the time I end up needing to reload all or parts of chapters and svrewing up my 'schedule.'

Anyway, thanks again people, I'll give it a shot, even if it's not the perfect way, at the least I think it could help some if I do it right.

You can't search MangaDex with that, so you'll need to manually input the manga URL (such as https://mangadex.org/title/429/shingeki-no-kyojin) in the address bar

If you use android, download Tachiyomi app and download the MD extension. For PC, download Hakuneko

This one works well on Win/Mac/Linux;

http://redsquirrel87.altervista.org/doku.php/manga-downloader

This link is to the project page for issues, so you can see if it's not working for the site you want before you download.

I agree with what @dandan_the_dandan said.

If you use google chrome internet browser, you can add an extension called "Download All Images". The extension will allow you to download all the images shown on the page you are viewing with a single click. However, the browser has to finish loading all the images first for you to download all the images. Otherwise, there will be some images missing. I usually scroll down until the end of the chapter to make sure that all images have been loaded on the page before download the images.

Here's the link of the above-mentioned extension
https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/download-all-images/ifipmflagepipjokmbdecpmjbibjnakm/related?hl=en

Hope that helps.

Cheers!
