In retrospect the "Cell Games" arc is really...dumb

um , a smarter way is : goku teleports cell to kaioh planet , then he grabs kaioh and his monkey and teleports back to earth , cell explodes , everyone else lives happily ever after .
@daywithoutgames Goku teleporting probably hastened Cell's explosion
@Dj0rel So did Kami, going to the afterlife while alive was always possible and even when Goku was made alive in the Saiyan saga, he still had to go back by snake way meaning being alive at king Kai's planet is more than possible and has been done before
@VoraciousEater what about the cell games arc is dumb? Cell has nothing he wants to achieve as he's already the strongest in the universe so he wants to fight the ones closest to him. The fight makes sense as Goku and Gohan are the only ones who could stand a chance against Cell and Goku, assuming Gohan would want to fight Cell at full strength like him and Vegeta gave Cell a senzu bean. Gohan has the potential for a power boost even past his father and needed a push to get him to pass his limits, which led him to Super saiyan 2. Gohan got cocky as he was much stronger than Cell and Cell, with some random blowing up feature likely installed by Gero, had to be teleported away by Goku.
@Lithe Not really. The only way they could beat Cell at this point would be for Gohan to get mad and reach a level of power beyond even Goku and Gohan was bound to be overconfident after getting this power boost which would lead to Cell using his self destruct feature.
