Bar for the NTR-bait label is pretty low these days so can't really comment on it. It's not so far away anyway.
Sorry, what I meant was, is she gonna start messing around with the ex or is the ex just gonna come onto her kinda strong?

The latter. Problem is, being indiferent can also cause lots of problems with things like this if you don't openly draw the line. And we know how slow she is.

Yes. I'm just here to see how fast the ratings will tank in the following 5 chapters lol. They never learn.

Ok. I think I can handle that much. As long as she’s not knowingly choosing to mess around with the ex and NTR-ing the MC. It doesn’t last too long does it? Just a few chapters I assume?

Her ex is very stupid, he was probably loved, but Ban has difficulty understanding and expressing her own feelings.
No need to be afraid of drama, the author is experienced and Yuki and Ban's relationship has become stronger now and with a clear objective. Any problem or misunderstanding that may occur now will serve to bring them closer together.
Don't be so sensitive

This is exactly what i was talking about. Having an ex is not a problem. Still having him in your life and not drawing a line so clear it might be seen from the Moon - is. Typical shojo bullshit.

It gets worse. Ex of the male lead from ch.1 also shows up lol. Somehow, all of these people converge in the same square mile in the great tokyo cosmopolitan area.

We are going for the telenovela route baby

Don't worry,
another shoujo trope will emerge - in form of "a girl" :pepela: Guess who knows and is connected to her :pepela:

How stupid is this drama gonna get? Are we gonna get genuinely NTR-baited? Or is it just gonna be your average jealousy arc? If it’s like an actual stupid NTR-bait arc then I may go ahead and drop this. Those are the kinds of drama points that ruin manga for me.
There's no NTR bait.
It's pretty clear that Ban has no interest on her ex. She does have traumas related to love due to him, but no lingering feelings.

I mean,
it's pretty much on the series title. Not sure why people are acting surprised. It's the recurring theme of the series. Why people think we have all these references to TV dramas?

This right here, is the right take, folks.

Enjoy the pseudodrama, have a laugh noticing the parallels to TV drama/soap opera tropes, but also notice how Enomoto-sensei turns around these tropes into something unique to develop her characters.

Oh thank god. I can’t tell you how many manga I’ve dropped in the past few months due to stupid NTR-bait. I really didn’t wanna drop this one because I’ve been enjoying it so far.

I mean sure. But dude tirelessly and one sidedly trying to solve Ban (since even she doesn't know what she is feeling which is why i said she is %100 on the spectrum or worse) and as a result getting slapped across to face for it might still rub people the wrong way on the long term when it comes to the FMC. Adding ex's in to this mix is just roo much for this early in to the story imo. Dude's ex doesn't look like trouble but Ban's ex most certainly does.

I would say that saving up for like 5-10 chapters and then read them all at once is the right choice here, considering where this is going.

Her ex. is in the story for a very clear reason, besides the "love triangle" TV drama trope - he was the one responsible for causing Ban's confusion regarding love. Harutaka (her ex), instead of recognising her quirks as Yuuki does, just went on and traumatised her, telling that whatever she felt wasn't love. It made her insecure of her own feelings after that. Not that she thought she loved him, but after that she has this idea that nothing that she feels is good enough to be called love.

So him showing up has a narrative purpose as well, which is to clarify to Ban that what she is feeling for Yuuki is indeed love. Since you're following the raws, you can see her reactions, how jealous she is of Yuuki. This last chapter (25) has her seething with jealousy and blaming herself for getting more and more confused as things get more serious.

Also, Yuuki deserved that slap. He was the one who convinced her to continue "training", even though she was clear she didn't know if she loved him. And then he decided to try to force the situation (albeit he thought he was taking the lead there - he was just stupid). He basically misjudged the situation, having taken into account what he felt and what others perceived, instead of actually taking into account what Ban feels.

It's all good fun, to be honest.

I competely understand it but i can't just put it in place for a supposedly an adult seinen romance. I would be compeletly on board if these were collage kids but eh. Mangaverse doesn't known for its realism in the end i guess.
