I don't think so, the other car has a ball shaped thing on top of it and the tire marks are consistent with him turning to avoid the guy crossing the road.

Yup, that ball thing is a taxi availability light so the one that got hit and have alien boner going out the roof is definitely Lily's.

Can't really say I dig this series or not anymore, but the fact that I can't tell where this is heading is what keep me going at this point.

This honestly. I have yet to care about any character besides lily at this point because im just curious what if he did on didnt kill discount fushiguro's family or not (I already forgot his name).

It's hard to root for anyone for me at least cause none of them are likeable or interesting. The tone is everywhere and it makes the suspense nonexistent especially this chapter. But I am still curious about what lane this story wants to take because it has a chance of being really cool if the author can make a more in depth and gray narrative out of this.

If it goes back to "all alien is bad" though imma drop it.

This story has the potential to either setup something big that will take place 100 chapters from now, or accelerate into complete chaos that wraps up in 3 chapters.

This is worrying. Kitami is involved in another car crash. Even if he survives, that is some massive PTSD right there. Also considering no alien trunks appeared from the other car, that means either the aliens on the other car survived or it was humans driving the other car. If a human dies in the other car, that's going to be a big problem for whatever little is left of Kitami's mental stability. This could break him.

Now the twin brother (and real culprit) will find out that Kitami was in the car at the moment of the accident, and he will seek revenge... and they will fight to death as they killed each other's family.

Are we even sure that Lily even had a confession though? He seems genuinely confused when Kitami is freaking out. I think Kitami had a paranoid delusion.
