Completely different reaction from chapter 1

Because it's a completely different situation from Chapter 1. She was still somewhat gainfully employed in that one and had a "normal" life. Since then, she's literally become a Cannibal (?) murderer in cahoots with criminals and hitmen organizations. Not to mention her diet of Alien meat seems to be having a delirious withdrawal effect on her as seen in the past few chapters.
