Has anybody considered that they're just aliens? They're extraterrestrials that might have staged their saving of the earth, the aliens have been demonstrated to be capable of being in privileged positions and were responsible for bringing to the earth superior technology, and the first alien couple in this chapter involved a gigolo husband and his man-ruiningly doting wife.

Probably because the mangaka wasn't even trying to make social commentary, and American otaku came up with that on their own because they're politically brainrotted even more than they're generally brainrotted.

I dunno, I don't think having a shark-toothed girl in pigtails wearing a dress would be too much.

I admire you trying to have an apolitical interpretation of this series. Maintain that purity as best as you can, please.

What's the chance that this is just some mid-arse "Aliens are secretly conspiring to take over the world" shit. Perhaps something like "Childhood's End". The only reason to think otherwise would be that the Mangaka hasn't shown anything bad that the Aliens have done. Even so if it's something like "Haha the MC's are bad", even then I don't think it's that political of a thing.

This literally could have been the mangaka thinking "Wait, what if I make it something like XCOM where Aliens take control over the world, but the Aliens are actually nice and the MC's are gonna be evil." or even more straightforward if the aliens are actually evil.

Why the need to attach so much politics to this honestly mid manga. Learn to separate fiction from reality. And do not ascribe the thoughts of the characters to the author, like just because a characters believes something doesn't mean the author has to as well. Do people think all fiction is self-insert or something.

Well, the controversial vibe lasted a whole two chapters, lol. Chapter 3 and we are already in boring Shounen tropes.

People thought the mangaka was cooking. Turns out he was reheating McDonald‘s.
Jup it's impressive how much controversy this manga gathered only to turn to the regular tropes with the ghost/demon/devil/alien hunter organization.

If immigration controversy was a deliberate viral campaign, it's actually brilliant marketing.

Ok so except the brain… But that is the tastiest part :meguuusad:
TBF if people can find ways to eat pufferfish, we can definitely find ways to eat humans
Cannibalism is one of the most well documented cultural phenomenon in human history, usually practiced in areas with limited hunting options or with fierce tribal wars. Only the most desperate or a culture with deeply rooted beliefs will condone human consumption, but even with consent from both parties, first world laws categorize cannibalism as murder so I simply can't recommend it :pepehmm:

Cant wait for AI to make every localizer jobless.
You should assume that if such translating AI is made with the same dataset that's been pozzed by the same people that hate you and me, then there's no future left. Remember that those people are changing their tactics to be even more secretive and work in the shadows.

At this point, even if the manga does end up being completely apolitical, it doesn't matter cuz everyone's already taken their stance, and nothing's gonna convince them otherwise.
