Yeah, sure, that’s all true, but that’s not the reasoning we got from Arika for acting the way he did in this chapter. What we got from Arika is that he basically ripped a page out of Toretto’s book about family, which doesn’t really make sense.

As much as I didn't want Akira to go easy on his relatives, at least the author gave a somewhat palatable explanation.

If he had crippled the magic nerves of his older cousin then the other relatives would've retaliated and it would have given them the proof of him being corrupted by the blessing of the end.

Author needed Akira to be this naive idiot or make people afraid of his power, instead of believing in him to be the saviour that he is.

Again, I iterate that I didn't like this outcome as well, but the explanation is somewhat okay.

While I appreciate the translation, doesn't anybody proofread anymore? The first page mixes two different past tense forms. When you use “did” to form a question in the past tense, the main verb must be in its base form, not past tense.

And then on page 7 is this travesty: "And yet ... you still people like that your family ..." - It has missing words, wrong word order, and probably a mistranslation of a verb. The sentence lacks a complete predicate as it trails off without finishing the thought. English requires a clear subject and verb structure, and this one doesn’t form a complete grammatical thought. It reads like a word-for-word machine translation that wasn’t adjusted to English grammar. I'm guessing maybe it is, "And yet, you still treat people in your family like that", or maybe, "And yet you still treat people like that as your family."?

There's more, but I've made my point. Please just proofread.
