While it seems like this manga is setting up the princess to be the FMC, she's proven herself to be quite untrustworthy. She lies about her gender the first time they met, and now she's breaking her promise because it's convenient to her. The 10k bounty and expensive jacket were almost certainly at taxpayer expense, so she's not even trustworthy when it comes to doing things for her country. She also set up this whole ordeal just to test the MC, at great risk to not only her mentor (who must be related to her, since they have the same hero red eye thing) and a borrowed sorcerer prodigy from another country. Just because Prol is from Pennsylvania doesn't mean that she doesn't have worth.

Aria betrayed Akira by sealing his mana.
Father betrayed Akira by hiding his amazing background and pretending to be a nobody shopowner.
Princess betrayed Akira by revealing his power to an outsider.
His friend betrayed him by inciting him to multiply a meaningless debt into a giant debt.

Dude really has little luck with trust. His mother hasn't betrayed him, assuming she had promised the dad not to reveal his background. Prol also hasn't betrayed him, at least not yet.

If the author was a little less dumb about this entire plotline to "test" Akira, I would probably resent the princess a little less. In the first place, not believing that he had actually injured his mana veins or whatever and then having the wizard girl refuse to cure him is just sad. Dragging him into danger when he's basically crippled just to make sure he isn't hiding his talent from them. Heisei manga are all like this, the protagonist has no real agency, the people around him are all unreasonable to force them to do things that are convenient for the plot, and characters constantly make mistakes that are convenient for the plot. That's why so many people enjoy true Narou-kei works.

I'm hoping he will get at least one heroine who is genuinely honest with him and loyal to him, like maybe Prol.

To be entirely fair, Akira himself has never been entirely honest with anyone and hopefully never will be. He's hiding the gigantic secret he's a memory-retaining reincarnator, which already makes him a sage in that other world. Furthermore, he also won't be revealing the true extent of his cheat skill to anyone.

What comes to the princess, she won't ever be entirely her own woman. She's a part of the government ruling the country, so whatever she does, she always needs to mind that, including doing things she wouldn't want to do, but must for the kingdom's sake. Akira hasn't got such worries. He lived happily as a small store's son and worries about nothing. In fact he's so carefree he even created that giant debt. This difference would prevent them from seeing eye to eye perfectly. Though I do wish the princess had actually invited Akira to a private discussion before revealing the secret to a third party. But maybe that wouldn't have worked story wise too smoothly.
