In this, water is weak to fire. As he mentions here, wind is seen as the anti-fire attribute (but he isn't versed in it).

The reason he summons leviathan is because he knows what it looks like, since he defeated it at the start of the series. Not to mention, to do that, he summoned a fire golem, because of fire being a superior matchup to water.


He also reiterates the bad elemental matchup a few times when he initially summons the leviathan.

It's not on Dex, but on another site there is an English TL for up to chapter 65, only 3 chapters behind the raws. The downside is that the TL is not as good(borderline MTL quality).

If you wanna catch up however, it's pretty much the only option as it'll take Slayerscans an eternity to catch up at the current rate

I’m confused, I thought the whole reasoning behind him drawing creatures from this world as they are was him trying to hide his unique power of drawing behind summoning, but if he’s gonna pull stuff like this why he is he limited to such generic monsters in the first place? For someone who claims to be such a renowned manga artist, I’d like to see him actually get creative. Introduce creatures and drawings this world has never seen using old designs from his manga or all new designs entirely.

One glaring issue with this manga is it seems completely unable to decide whether it wants to follow the “I just want to actually enjoy my next life with people that love me for me and not make the mistakes I made in my last one due to fame.” premise it setup. Its very quickly just gone down the generic isekai action adventure style series where the MC is basically roped into helping against his will just for being strong. I’d honestly prefer to see him using more unique drawings in a home or slice of life setting.
