Y'know, I've been thinking about this a lot, but does anyone and everyone just up and show up at her room like that? Shouldn't the butler at least do her the courtesy of informing her she has guests before they barge into her room/office/greenhouse?

The family relationships in this story are really interesting. Her mother doesn't want to meet with Cordelia because she's said to be just like her father. But on the other hand, Cordelia gets along very well with the Countess who is supposedly her aunt. Wouldn't the aunt tell her sister that Cordelia is a good child that should be given a chance? Other than Isma, I wonder what the relationship between Cordelia's mother is like with the other two children that have not been named in the story
