the goblins and the Goblin King come out of the gate and just go berserk, attacking the women around them. Ryuto moves on instinct to save them, but since he can’t activate his skills, he’s basically relying only on his raw physical strength.
when fighting the Goblin King, Ryuto almost gets hit by an axe, but Sayaka saves him at the last second. the problem is, she ends up badly injured because of it. Ryuto gets seriously pissed and forces open a gate to the dungeon. that gate was supposed to be one-way only, from the dungeon to the human world, so opening it the other way shouldn’t even be possible. but Ryuto doesn’t give up. even while getting hit by the Goblin King’s magic, he pushes himself to the limit and manages to force it open.
his effort pays off, Ryuto gets into the dungeon. inside, he can finally use all his magic and skills again, so he quickly heals himself. he activates Shadow Magic, pulls Sayaka’s badly injured body in to heal her, then drags all the goblins outside, including the Goblin King, into the dungeon and wipes them out there. he also slaughters every goblin trying to come out of the gate.
when Sayaka wakes up, she’s already in the hospital. she feels like she failed to protect Ryuto because she passed out during the mission. deep down, she wants to keep staying by his side, but she’s scared she’ll get dismissed as his guard because of that failure. even so, she feels like at least she managed to satisfy Ryuto. unexpectedly, Ryuto comes to visit her. turns out she’s not fired at all, and Ryuto actually wants her to keep being his guard. when Sayaka starts explaining her failure, Ryuto just stops her with a kiss, making her stop blaming herself over and over.
