My feeling here is that the manga is trying to "fix" some inconsistencies, or at least offering some new options unavailable in the novel.
The School for example is only explained around chapter 100 I think of the web novel, so they are skipping a lot.
But all that content skipped has so much goddamn filler that to some extent, it's better for it to be faster in the manga.
most likely yes, my main surprise is with the japanese girl, from what I remember she is small boobed, and was described as black straight hair, so seeing the brown ponytail girl was weird.
To describe the 1st meeting, MC was able to get contact with Haruka from his sister when asked about the girl he rescued.
Then while at her shared apartment with her friends, they are all casual, worried about Haruka, and she telling them she met a guy, and them thinking she is deluded, so MC knocks on the door, one of them answer it, and when they see him, they invite him in, and move away to change clothes.
They return completely changed, and flirting with MC, in fact, big boob girl was so forward she was able to get MC to have a date with her before the other 2.
Yeah, novel MC acts more like a wistful middle aged guy who lost his youth and is only now being given the opportunity to live, which I think is more interesting than the usual perverted trope (for instance, his main thought about going to school was that he'll finally get to experience a high school life, which he never got to experience because he was conscripted from middle school onwards). He also has PTSD from being trapped in the dungeon; his bodyguard did try to seduce him as in the manga version but then felt guilty and stopped when she realised what he needed was someone who supported him through his trauma, not someone trying to take advantage of him.
Negative thoughts swirling in her mind as Sayaka opened the door—only to find Ryuuto on the bed, wrapped in a blanket from head to toe, staring straight at her.
“Ryuuto-sama…?”
Even after realizing that the intruder was Sayaka, Ryuuto, who was kneeling on the bed, did not loosen the tension in his body in the slightest. The moment their eyes met, Sayaka felt an overwhelming pressure, as if something had been shoved down her throat. His eyes gleamed in the darkness like those of a beast. Sayaka had endured grueling military training—so severe it had made her literally cough up blood and even caused her monthly cycle to stop—but the moment she saw the man before her, all that hardened resolve evaporated.
“…Sorry. Sometimes when I think of weird things, I just can’t seem to get a good night’s sleep.”
“Ah-Ah… I see…”
“It’s just a habit, you know? Even when I know everything’s fine, I can’t let my guard down. It’s especially bad at night.”

“No, I want to sleep, but I just can’t seem to calm down. Well, there’s no way I could sleep soundly back when I was trapped in the dungeon after all.”
Sayaka gasped at that. As she tried to control the bubbling emotions and suppress the trembling excitement, Ryuuto suddenly leaned his body against her. Before she knew it, sweat was dripping down her face. It was a different kind of intense tension from undergoing combat training. She felt as if she couldn’t breathe. She had studied the proper etiquette and how to serve her master, but she didn’t know if she would be able to perform her duty properly.

She didn’t know how much time had passed, but she finally steeled her resolve and turned on a small light by the side of the bed.
“He’s asleep.”
Ryuuto had fallen asleep with a peaceful expression on his face, like a child seeking comfort from their mother. Sayaka gently lifted his head and carefully positioned it onto her lap. She felt embarrassed at herself.

Yeah, the very guy who defeated the demon lord, but is treated like a nuisance because... erm... he's a little horny, or something...
I think you'd struggle to find anyone who goes 20+ years in a time-frozen region full of monsters, with zero human contact, that isn't a little loony. In fact, he's pretty mild in his horniness all things considered. He seemed to be mostly insane before now, just mindlessly wandering the dungeon and hysterically lashing out and eating monsters that he came across before they found him again.
Good Lord, it seems we got utterly robbed in this adaptation. This is honestly a recurring trend in recent years where adaptations are usually enshittified in some way, whether it be censorship, whack ass changes to the script/story like this or something else just as stupid.

To protect Ryuuto, she would eliminate anything, without hesitation. Sumire was a complete professional. There was no room in her actions for personal feelings or morality. Ryuuto waved his hand lightly and spoke with deliberate casualness.
“It’s fine, it’s fine. It’s not a big deal.”
He reached out his hand. The puppy growled and bit down on Ryuuto’s right hand. However, Ryuuto’s palm, hardened by over twenty years of combat in the underground dungeon, was as tough as a well-worn glove.
The puppy’s tiny teeth couldn’t pierce it. Sumire visibly tensed, but Ryuuto stopped her again.
“That dog lying there is its mother. This little one is just trying to protect her.”
Its coat was rough and dirty, but the dead dog was a red Shiba Inu Ryuuto recognized well. He let the puppy keep its jaws on his finger and simply waited.

Isn't that like real life war heroes, grand celebrating day 1 welcome home, after that people go about their daily lives, same with funerals if it's your family it's a sad time but the world goes on.
He did great things in the past but that kinda thing are easily forgotten after the pat on the back

Rinka the girl from his past, it's to create misunderstanding and waste time giving situations in chapters where, will he stop waiting, obviously until rinka all others are wasting their time. It's just like a romance story with a few back up girls who have 0! chance and just increase chapter no count
But it isn’t a vague thing he did for faceless people. He saved all his party members, including his sister who’s his only blood relative. The survivors lived for 20 years bearing the guilt of his sacrifice. He’s a general hero figure and a “god“ to many, but I’m talking about his actual friends and family just moving on right away.

Koibito Swap got sanitized so hard it killed the manga adaptation, most revenge time loop web novels are getting sanitized into manga adaptations where they editorial try to make it romcoms and then get axed quickly.

This is becoming more and more ass with every single chapter. The author is erasing everything that makes this special and reducing it to another fucking high school dungeon manga. Not to mention that the protagonist's personality is just pure trash.
