There was a fancomic on Twitter about what would happen if Laois was eaten instead and how it ended was really sad because Falin and co. do eventually reach the deeper levels and kill the dragon but it was a lot longer, so Laois ended up being completely digested. Even when they somehow restored his body, his soul had departed, and Falin ended up eating dinner alone.

I feel like Shuro would have accompanied Falin. He didn’t join Laios before because he gave her up for dead, but I don’t think he would have left her alone. That is, if he knew she was going alone no matter what.
