Really don't like this latest arc. Not because the arc is bad, but because this is sword oratoria. Imo it's meant to follow the supporting cast, particularly ainz (ool gown?!), and leifya. But this entire arc has pretty much been just another "oooh, bell-kun the mc is so cool, let's see him fight, blunder and flounder some more! Some more objective or alternate povs too for more context, but definitely keeping him as the main character of the story we convey" like we could have seen in the original story.

I do sort of get why, he and his familia is deeply involved in this entire development, and has their fingers everywhere. But would have preferred if we kept on seeing loki familas (particularly aiz) viewpoint, with no constant focus on bells thought-bubbles etc.

The lives of the gods in Orario pretty much centers around the never-ending battle against the monsters in the labyrinth. Generations of adventurers would come and go, but the familia would remain and life goes on. Of course it's also possible for some gods to think the Xenos would make things more interesting, but it's not necessarily in the gods' best interest to allow such an existence.
