I don’t know if it’s because of the slow release but even after 20 long chapters him escaping the dungeon didn’t feel deserved. Like he hadn’t gone through any apparent character development after dying so many times and being in the dungeon for so long. But then he turned full bloodlust on everyone and my opinion got thrown out the window.

You are on an interesting track! You should think more on that one. After all... you might have realized a major plot point. Much like the game SUPERHOT: "It's about time." He might not be the only one unaffected by the reloads. Clearly Ageha who gave him the skill isn't and for some reason the Puppet Sword isn't either... very curious eh? Additionally I said reload... because we have only seen save. We have not seen 'reset'
