This the one of the biggest asspulls of all asspulls I've seen since Haruba Negi perfected the cheap asspull in go-toubun no hanayome. Now the biggest threat to Shirou is being forced into a good time, instead of his friends dying.

iirc he can only repair/build one thing at a time. him losing levels also makes it a limited resource. so it's def got enough drawbacks to not be relied on

To be fair, he didn't know they were leaving so soon and he's living in a world where ANY female cold sleep him due to a MASSIVE difference in strength (even spawning a knife in someone's body doesn't have a 100% chance of saving him). Series like this either run for about 6 volumes because they are advertisements for the LN or as long there is source material, either way nothing is going to change because its adaptation , you people been brainrot my the axe that is not really a thing as this is a series running on a online magazine, things have changed a lot since Hunter x Hunter was running on Jump ... yes, series do get cancelled due to low readership/sales but damn, the problems that exist in here is likely due to the "less polished" nature of web novels as a whole (especially early on as well the difficulty of adapting in general, when you have constrains like chapter length, panels and things having to fit a number of pages things either get condensed or padded as a result.
