Literally what is the point of being a tutoring place if you’re gonna discriminate based on experience?
Back in an early chapter he said that was simply to stand out, seeing as there was a lot of competition and they all made a big point of saying "no experience needed". He assumed it would make them seem more professional and less desperate, and I can get that logic. After all, if all other schools take in beginners, the ones you turn away will easily find another place.
Besides, he mentioned in this very chapter that he turned the guy away because he didn't like his attitude - he definitely does seem flexible enough to take in a beginner who shows ambition.

Damn this was a very bizarre experience, can't remember the last time i saw someone say the phrase "Thank you X (formerly Twitter)"

Guess some times you gotta re-post until the algorithm gets hooked
I feel like Japan isn't as aware of Musk's drama so they have a much better opinion of Twitter.
You hit the nail on the head there. IT professionals can be some of the most awful, power-hungry, immoral bastards I've met, and they'll try to put down anyone who might threaten their "superiority". The whole culture is so toxic everyone got gaslighted into thinking they're some sort of special wizard-jedi-ninja-rockstar who knows better than everyone - yet they're just another coding-monkey that will be quickly replaced when the next wave of layoff hits.

Seriously, fuck IT people (before anyone asks, I work on IT as well).
My personal experience has been that IT is filled with people who just don't socialize well. I guess it makes sense that a job where you basically translate logic to machines would appeal to those kinds of people? Anyways, a lot of IT people end up frustrated with their low social skills, start blaming the world and end up arrogant or jaded or both. I've also met social butterflies who do IT, although they tend to switch to management rather quickly.

Computers do what you tell them. People don't and they're often assholes about it.

about the manga selling well or not... the whole business model does not make sense to me. it's split into volumes that are way too small and incomplete on their own, priced higher than huge collections of real literature. by the time it's finished (which sometimes may be a decade or so, if it ever is), it costs 5x, 10x or even 20x times what is reasonable to me. i still can't believe there's people that would actually buy such things. and it's not just manga this applies to, "light" novels costing 10x what real novel do and anime "boxsets" that have something as ridiculous as only 3 or 4 episodes per disk are just as big a mystery for me.
