Either there should be more chapters despite news of being completed, or the manga got axed as horribly as vampires butchered the capital citizens, literally not even saying to mangaka that they are getting axed and must finish story ASAP

Second time for me. There's also another yuri series which ended similarly.

Seeing the knight captain curb-stump, and I mean, absolutely destroy the vampires -- makes me wonder if there's anything special about her.

It's not that she's just skilled with a sword or something, that's absurd. That's not remotely enough to do the things she's doing.
I'm torn between: "She's just a cool character and there's nothing to it", and: "It might be a small hint to the fact she's not exactly 100% human either (not necessarily a vampire, but, clearly she has something going on there)".
I'm honestly leaning more towards the former.

She is a 6 star character
