@dysperwithaperiod It's said in many other works just in a different way. "I don't care about those other kids", "You're the only one I care about" etc. It's basically the same 'sudden burst of emotion' while trying to desperately convince someone to value their lives more out of biased love. To be fair, it's possible that the original text could have been translated into something different but with the same meaning, it may only be the translators that chose to go with those specific set of words.
